The Table Mountain Rancheria is a federally recognized tribe of Native American people from the Chukchansi band of Yokuts and the Monache tribe. It is also the tribe's ranchería, located in Fresno County, California.[1]

Reservation[edit]

Founded in 1916,[2] the Table Mountain Rancheria is 61 acres (250,000 m2) large and located in Fresno County, near Friant, California. The reservation population is approximately eleven people, with 34 tribal members living in the general area.[1]

The tribe's headquarters is located in Friant, and their tribal chairperson is Leanne Walker-Grant.[3]

Economic development[edit]

The tribe owns and operates Table Mountain Casino, Eagle Springs Golf Course, the Eagle's Landing restaurant, Mountain Feast Buffet, and TM Cafe, all located in Friant.[4]

Friant (formerly, Converse Ferry, Jones Ferry, Hamptonville, and Pollasky) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Fresno County, California, United States. The population was 549 at the 2010 census, down from 778 at the 2000 census. Friant is located 11.5 miles (19 km) north of Clovis, at an elevation of 344 feet (105 m).
Friant is located at 36°59′16″N 119°42′43″W / 36.98778°N 119.71194°W / 36.98778; -119.71194. The CDP is located along the banks of the San Joaquin River and at the base of Friant Dam and Millerton Lake.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.3 square miles (3.4 km²), of which 96.2% is land and 3.8% is water.
